A Piece of Burgundy have become the most comprehensive source of services for Fosse Septiques in Burgundy.
We are suppliers of several different types of fosse septique, including the new Mini Station d'Epurations which are the latest technology in France, much smaller than the original fosse septiques and quicker to install.
They can also be installed in properties that could not have the older type of fosse due to the size of land available, local flooding or no outfall drainage. We can even install into a cellar ! |
| Standard Fosse Septique Installation
If the space available for the fosse septique is large then you could have an Fosse Septique Toutes Eaux with a sand filter bed installed. |
This type of fosse has been the norm for many years now but does require a large area of land to be used for the sand filter. This will be 5m wide and from 4m to 15m long. Once installed this area cannot be used for vehicles but can be lawned or gravelled.
The fosse septique itself is a biological unit and very cheap to purchase. For this reason this type of fosse septique will be the cheapest to install. We can have them fitted for around 5,900€ including all paperwork, ground works and plumbing upto the existing house outlet.
A Piece of Burgundy are the best option for the complete instalation of these systems. We can produce all of the legal paper work for the authrorities, arrange the artisans devis, installation and hook up to the house. We can also provide continuous servicing or new bathroom installation or both.

| Mini Station d'Epuration
These fosse septiques only require around 2m² of land, not the 30 to 40m² required for the old type as above. This allows us to install these systems into small gardens and even into courtyards. Properties with restricted land have often been left without the possibility of good drainage but now they can be renovated just as well as a large properties. |

This type of fosse septique is the latest technology of complete waste water treatment. It does not need the large sand filter and is therefore able to be installed into much more difficult properties.
It uses a mechanical agitation process, mulitple internal chambers and the outflow is actually better than river water, so it can be dispersed safely on the property.
With the likelihood of future French Regulation changes being very likely, this latest techonology will be the 'Future Proof' option for all instalations. Despite some delays in having this type of fosse septique agreed with SPANC in France we have now successfully applied for and installed for clients. The paperwork is slightly different and we ensure that even more information is availble to SPANC to ensure an acceptance. A soil survey will be required for each application, which we can do for you before we fill in the application. |
| They are a more expensive unit, being more technically complicated, but the installation ground works required are very much less. This makes this system slightly more expensive, at around 8450€'s* fully installed following acceptance of the SPANC paperwork, but a much better solution in nearly every case.

| Houses with No Land The arrival of the Mini Station d'Epurations has opened up the renovation of many houses that have caused sellers and owners alike serious problems when trying to renovate.
We are hoping to be able to install one type of MSE into properties that do not even have outside space. We have a supplier of flat packed MSE's that can be delivered to site and built within a cellar. This system has not yet been certified by the French authorities but it should be very soon. We are expexcting a result during Autumn 2011.
The purchase of the system is the more expensive option but there are virtually no ground works to undertake so we are hoping to be able to install this Mini Station d'Epuration for around 9,200€'s.
