TERMS & CONDITIONS
For House Sales

Please read the General Conditions of Sale below and feel free to ask any questions you may have.

General Terms & Conditions
~ Within these terms and conditions the terms 'we', 'us' or 'the company' refers to A Piece of Burgundy, a British company with offices in England and France.
~ The prices quoted by us within the listings on this site include agents fees, asbestos survey fees and lead survey fees, heating/ insolations survey (if applicable), Natural disater survey and our Fees for help during the Sale..
~ The prices quoted in Pounds Sterling are a guide only, check the current exchange rate closer to the time of purchase for more accurate pricing.
~ All third party bills (building surveyors, utilities, extra legal fees or others) must be paid by you, they are not included within the prices quoted by us.
~ We cannot give legal advice concerning your purchase, any advice given is purely for information only.
~ Notaires fees must be paid by you direct to the appointed Notaire as stated in French law.
~ French property sales laws apply to all houses listed on this site, any british lawyers you may use need a good understanding of these laws.
~ We will liase during your contact with our french immobilier partners, arrange visits when available with their clients, and offer help as appropriate, however you are free to take other advice from any source you feel appropriate.
~ We cannot be held responsible for any error, ommision or mistake made by any source of information, including our french partners.
~ Our Aftersales Packages are sold seperately and are not part of the House sale price.
~ By arranging a viewing trip with us you agree that any purchase of a house found on our or our partners site will be concluded by our partner to a conclusion and not direct with the vendor.  If any future sale is conducted via the vendor alone then we can reclaim our Partners agent fee from you.
~ We will not charge any fee in connection with the sale of any house on this or our partners site or from their office.

Property Inspection Terms & Conditions
~ We will undertake the Inspection of your designated house(s) after funds have cleared to our account.
~ Each report needs to be paid for at the price specified on the application form, in whichever currency you prefer.
~ Use of this service constitutes a bon de visite, whereby any subsequent purchase of this property even direct with the owner will result in our Immobilier being due the 'frais d'agence' as specified in the mandat de vente.
~ All Cheques must be made payable to our Company Secretary, J A Bolton, in any currency.
~ Any structural advice given is based on our understanding of such buildings, and does not constitute a legally binding report on the buildings structural integrity.
~ Any prices given for work required, if requested, are not formal quotes but based on previous work undertaken of a similar nature only.
~ The Written Report, if requested, will be posted by standard France Poste, to include photos, to the address given on the application form.  It will only be prepared if paid for as requested on the application form.  More photos may be available if the E-mail version of the report is used.
~ Floorplans will be prepared by our Design Team to approximate dimensions as measured during the Property Inspection at the additional cost stated.  They do not constitute any contract to our Design Service.  Whilst being in CAD format and being an accurate representation of the building they should be used for information only.
